Overview

Bergmann, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is currently seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Lansing, MI!    

 

Our engineers are experts in understanding the unique, site-specific hydrologic, hydraulic and geomorphological conditions of a site. We offer an extensive range of engineering, planning and design services in flood risk management, dam safety, environmental compliance, and water resources management. These services include all phases of analysis, feasibility concept studies, condition assessment and rehabilitation design of existing facilities, as well as the complete analysis and design of new systems. Responsibilities

  • Design and support stormwater management and hydraulic projects
  • Perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses
  • Design Stormwater Management BMP’s
  • SWPPP preparation
  • Water quality compliance calculations
  • Prepare soil erosion and sediment control plans
  • Perform flood studies with HEC-RAS, USEPA-SWMM
  • Dam assessments and rehabilitation design
  • Flood Hazard Area and Dam Safety permitting
  • Assist other departments with engineering and technical support needs
  • Report and proposal writing
  • Interested in learning and applying feedback from senior engineers and project managers
  • Perform work on coastal engineering projects

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • EIT preferred but not required
  • Previous internship experience and/or capstone project work pertaining to environmental or water resources engineering is a plus
  • Passionate about hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater management
  • Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading, and other site development related designs
  • Ability to work independently, as well as, in a team environment
